As an early birthday present, my parents gave me a desktop. Since Microsoft have cheesed me off far too often, what OS and browser do people recommend? I'm thinking Linux and Opera.

I recommend Ubuntu with Google Chrome. Windoze is teh sux and IE8 is Satan's portal to hell!

I didn't know that IE8 was a portal to hell, but I guess anything's possible of Microsoft, being that they're so willing to download malware with the music they sell, and all.
